Nearly a year after the disappearance of 43 Ayotzinapa teachers college students the Independent Interdisciplinary Experts Group commissioned by the Inter-American Human Rights Group to review the case said that the youths could not have been incinerated in the Cocula garbage dump… The temperature of a raging fire needed to burn 43 bodies would have blackened the surrounding vegetation and that did not occur, the experts said. They issued 20 recommendations on the case and called for a new investigation.
Attorney General Arely Gómez said that a new expert review will be conducted in the Iguala case entrusted to a group of highly prestigious forensic medicine experts. She added that findings and recommendations by the committee would be analyzed and possibly incorporated into the investigation.
President Enrique Peña Nieto issued instructions that the results announced by the group of experts commissioned by the Inter-American Human Rights Commission to review the Iguala case be taken into account… He sent a tweet in which he asked Mexican government agencies to analyze all 20 recommendations made by the group of experts.
The parents of the 43 Ayotzinapa students said that it was scientifically proven that the 43 youths were not incinerated in the Cocula garbage dump. They called on the experts to remain in Mexico until the students are found and they demanded an interview with President Peña Nieto.
Interior Secretary Miguel Ángel Osorio Chong said the report will be analyzed and taken into account. Osorio Chong sent a tweet to say that 110 arrests have been made in the case and all those responsible will be punished.
