Between January 1 and November 18, 2019, 299 women were murdered in the State of Mexico. Almost one each day.
However, the Attorney General of the State of Mexico (PGJEM) investigates the crime of femicide in only 61 cases; The rest, the majority, are considered to be intentional homicides of women.
With respect to the same period of 2015, the femicides increased in seven cases, then 54 complaints were filed.
Meanwhile, the intentional homicides of women decreased in five, going from 243-January to November 18, 2015-to 238 this year.
